Flushing System
Flush Type These toilets can be used comfortably outdoors in the same way as indoor toilets. Waste is flushed into the public sewer or a septic tank.

Simple Flush Type This simple flush toilet flushes away waste with less water (approximately 400 cc) than water flush type toilets. Waste is held in a waste tank for later removal.

Pump Simple Flush TypeUnlike simple flush type toilets, these toilets do not require construction to connect to a water supply. Instead, they use a foot-pedal to pump a smaller amount of water (approximately 250 cc) from a water tank and flush away waste.

Pressure Pump Flush Type This type of toilet can be used just as comfortably as a flush toilet in conditions that make flush toilets unfeasible, such as places that have water and sewerage but are draining to a distant location, places that do not have a slope to where they drain, or places that cannot be excavated.
